Tell us a little about your background. How did you get started, and why are you in the MSP business?

Like many professionals in the industry, my interest in computers began in high school. It was a hobby that later turned into a source of income. In the early stages of my business, I realized that clients were waiting until there was a technological issue to seek help. They were also concerned with incurring high expenses. In an effort to resolve these concerns, we established the flat rate contract, even before it became known as managed services.

How do you predict technology will advance in the next few years?

I think that everything is going toward the cloud in some form or fashion whether it is through Google apps or Microsoft office 365. There will be less infrastructure onsite, and each feature will be less reliant on the local aspect and more reliant on accessibility.

How do you address security concerns that arise from using applications such as Cloud?

I advise all prospective clients to have an IT assessment completed prior to finalizing any business. Then, once a year we perform data backup and system updates as well as a thorough network checkup to ensure that an adequate firewall is in place.

What are three personal values that apply to the day-to-day operations of your business?

  • Honesty: We’re always gong to tell you what you need to do, and sell you the computer that you need. We won’t try to sell you a $2000 or $3000 machine when a $400 machine would perform efficiently.
  • Integrity: We only offer services that we provide. After we conduct backups and testing, we provide you with reports.
  • Reliability: When you need us, we’re there. Our clients have the personal cellphones of our technical experts. Whether they’re having an IT issue at 7am on a weekday or 3pm on a Saturday, one of us will be available to assist them.

How do you differentiate yourself from other competitors in the market?  

Apart from honesty, integrity, and reliability, our professional aspect sets us apart. When we interact with clients, we always look presentable and act respectfully and courteously toward all staff. Moreover, we are always friendly and respectful and never presume to be more knowledgeable about your industry than you are. We focus solely on your IT issues.

What would you say to any business that might be interested in receiving your services?

Information technology should be simple rather than a burden. You shouldn’t have to worry about the possibility of your network malfunctioning during an important project.
