CMA Alberta holds the Strategic Leadership Program (SLP) in Calgary and Edmonton to teach candidates the practical theory needed to succeed in the strategic management profession. Once candidates have completed the first year of the SLP, they’re required to write the CMA case exam using their own laptops to complete the test.

The Situation: A Need for Reliable Technical Support to Assist Students During the CMA Case Exam

As the latest CMA case exam involved over 650 writers using their own laptops between Edmonton and Calgary, CMA Alberta needed IT experts to assist the students with any technical issues or questions. As a result, CMA Alberta contacted XCEL Professional Services, due to their close relationship over the past 2 years

The Resolution: A Fully Trained Team of IT Professionals to Help Students Complete Their Exams Without Technical Issues

While XCEL Professional Services had the resources to provide 15 technicians to assist with the exam, they didn’t want to leave their clients without a high level of support. Instead, XCEL Professional Services started to interview various IT experts for the job. After finding and training 9 talented and qualified individuals, XCEL Professional Services deployed the IT professionals alongside their own staff onto the CMA Alberta case exam.

After the exam was finished, XCEL Professional Services received extremely positive feedback from candidates, volunteers, and CMA staff regarding how well their personnel performed and went above and beyond their duties.
