On April 18th, 2014, XCEL Professional Services performed a new office build and relocation for a client of over 100 office users. The office build and relocation process started with planning and coordinating with all project managers, electrical contractors, telephony contractors, and floor design professionals to ensure requirements were met and best practices were followed for all IT related work.
In addition, our team of IT professionals coordinated with the client’s data center and Internet providers to ensure connectivity; then we provisioned, planned, and implemented wiring closets.
Once all the important details were planned and coordinated, we started tearing down and setting up workstations, monitors, and printers for over 100 users. Then we offered hands on assistance to ensure all users were taken care of and fully functional. In addition, we implemented a completely new wireless setup for the client.
Throughout the process, we worked directly with all third party vendors for business critical services and line of business applications, in order to ensure changes related to the move were accommodated and adjusted accordingly.
