Over the last few years, it has become progressively more important that your MSP business starts building an audience on social media platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc. This is nothing new, nor is it mind-blowing advice, but some Managed Service Providers struggle with implementing an effective social media strategy consistently. Some MSPs that have embraced the culture shift will typically put all their eggs in one basket on one platform and live by the algorithm and die by the algorithm.
If you want to build a brand in IT, you must embrace the various platforms that your audience uses, allowing you to maintain your relevance in every aspect. One of the most important ways that MSPs use social media is to create some validity around their business. Imagine running your MSP business without an online presence.
When a potential client hears about you through someone who is a part of their network, they head to Google to see what they can find out about your MSP services. If they do not find anything, they may not only be confused about why you do not have an online presence, but they may also be suspicious about your business. Social media adds a new element to an online presence, and for many potential clients, social media is just as important, if not more important, than a website.
Growing Your Social Media Following with PromoSM
Growing your MSP’s social media audience can be challenging. Between ever-changing algorithms and an incredible amount of competition, reaching your target audience on social media can feel like an uphill battle. Since this can be such a challenge, where should you be spending your time? Should you spend your time on organic MSP social media content or paid social media advertising?
Well, you can actually do both. You can incorporate organic and paid social media efforts into your MSP marketing strategy. Long story short, I found out about this tool, PromoSM, by reading a spam comment (of all things) that was posted on one of my YouTube videos. This tool is supposed to help grow your social media following. Basically, you pay for whatever you want. This could be in the form of more followers, views, comments, etc, on social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. With PromoSM there is no subscription, you just pay as you go, and before you know it, you will see results.
PromoSM has a large catalog of social media promotion services. Skeptical at first, I decided to check it out. It was incredibly simple to place an order and the process only took a few minutes. I was able to create a username and password that I used exclusively with their website. Once my account was set up, I was able to deposit money into my account. PromoSM has a credit-based system, like the ”Pay As You Go” mobile phone plans. Once I had money in my account, I was ready to place my order.
This process was fairly simple, only consisting of a few steps. When you want to place an order, you navigate to the new order page. Next, you select the service you wish to order. After choosing the service you want to pay for, you enter your order details. For example, if you want to increase your YouTube subscribers, enter your YouTube channel profile URL and the number of subscribers that you wish to order. For instance, if you wish to add 100 new subscribers, enter that number in the Quantity field. There are additional instructions on the new order page that will provide more details.
Why Is Social Media Important for MSP Marketing?
You’re ready to get your MSP business’s social media off the ground now. The good news is that you CAN get started immediately, and you can even have some fun in the process.
Social media provides extensive potential for MSP businesses because potential clients log into their social media accounts daily and are exposed to a variety of products and services. This also presents challenges for your business because the social media landscape is ever-changing, and it can become extremely noisy and crowded.
It can be difficult to keep up with the latest trends on social media, but walking away from it is not going to help. If the businesses and organizations within your targeted industry don’t know about your MSP business, they can’t become your clients. Social media gives your online visibility a much-needed boost among potential clients, letting you reach a wider audience.
Here’s something you should never forget: social media content grabs the attention of others. However, it’s really easy to become overwhelmed on social media platforms filled with constant noise from other businesses also trying to promote their products and services. How can your MSP business stay relevant in such a crowded space?
Social media is a vital part of your MSP business marketing, but it doesn’t have to be stressful. As social media continues to become a staple in the daily patterns of our lives, more potential clients will turn to social media platforms to help them make their decisions. The MSP businesses that have established a strong online presence via social media will find success with higher conversion rates, while those with little to no presence online could lose potential clients. Which MSP business do you hope to be?
