Please tell us about Aurora Technical Consulting’s history and what led you to establish this company?
While working another job, I discovered there was a need among businesses for IT support, and it’s what I wanted to do with my career. I started the business on the side to gain experience.
Working in technology is always what I wanted to do. One night while I was out walking and thinking about how to get my own business off of the ground, I looked up and saw an aurora and it took my breath away. Instantly I knew that would make a good name for my business.
What services does Aurora Technical Consulting provide?
We’re a full-service IT consulting firm. So any type of technology our clients need, including anything to do with the Internet such as developing a website and SEO (search engine optimization) best practices, we bring to the table. We also provide managed services and we work with our clients daily to help them achieve their technology and business goals.
What type of things do you see your clients dealing with on a daily basis? And how is technology helping them overcome them?
Most often their challenges are related to achieving operational efficiencies and ensuring their employees have what they need to do their jobs and be more productive. Our attitude is we’re only successful when our clients are successful.
IT security is a big concern for businesses. How does Aurora Technical Consulting help protect its clients?
We try to tackle that issue on two ends. On one hand, we need to educate people since more often than not the security-related issues companies face has to do with human error. On the other, it’s a hardware- and software-based matter. We recommend to our clients various types of top-notch solutions to meet their needs and stay within their budgets.
What would you recommend to a business that’s either struggling with technology or one that’s looking for a technology partner?
For starters, I’d say they need a responsive technology partner like Aurora Technical Consulting. We put a lot of time and energy into developing and nurturing our relationships with our clients and making sure they’re pleased with the services and solutions we’re providing. Ours is a personable IT firm and my staff is friendly and down-to-earth. That makes a big difference to our clients.
