I am sharing my goals of working towards changing some of our mindsets at Ulistic and how slight cultural changes in our MSP consulting business can allow everyone to live our corporate cause. You know the one! I shared it early this week about how Ulistic is striving to create a mindset of our cause of ensuring every MSP achieve stratospheric success.
How do we do this?
Well, first it is our attitude to never give up on a client or MSP. I have worked for free when something hasn’t gone as planned or as I thought. We do whatever it takes to provide the foundation of stratospheric success for our MSP clients and colleagues.
Another key part of the formula is our culture of communication and for some, over-communicating. Yes, I will be the first to admit that I haven’t been the best communicator at times. We all get busy and unfortunately sometimes we choose to ignore versus acting. No more!
Ulistic’s focus on over-communicating is essential to us living our cause, which is ensuring EVERY MSP ACHIEVES STRATOSPHERIC SUCCESS. To accomplish this we are starting to ensure that everyone we work with gets a touch each day. A quick email message, Facebook like, twitter tweet, text message, Skype reach-out and even a phone call from time to time letting them know we are still out here and taking care of their needs.
This is essential for our project managers. Projects can go sideways or get derailed when communication stops or even slows. Ulistic’s focus now is every project we are working on will have a quick status update at the end of the day, just to let our clients know how fast or sometimes how slow things are moving.
We have also started a daily huddle for all members of the team. Each day we hook up at 10 AM eastern to huddle before the day starts for our west coast team members and not too late for us on the east coast. Huddles are an essential part of your communication strategy.
Can you imagine the Baltimore Ravens winning the Super Bowl always in the hurry up offense? That is how some of our businesses are run.
I have said this before and I will say it again, there is no such thing as over-communicating and I will also guarantee you that if you stop over-communicating you will have problems in your business.
Recap, have daily huddles with your team, touch your clients every day and have your account managers or project teams send a situation report at the end of each day. Do this and I will guarantee you will have a well-oiled machine at the office, happy clients equaling more sales, and projects that stay on time and on budget.
