Burlington, Ontario (August 18, 2013) — Ulistic is a proud sponsor of the Burlington Braves, a Canadian junior football league. Ulistic is participating as a Silver Sponsor for the 2013-2014 Season in support of Stuart’s son Colin Crawford who plays offensive line. The Burlington Braves were organized in 1958 by a few, local businessmen. They originally played their games at Central High School on Brant Street in Burlington, Ontario. In the early 1960’s the Braves moved their home games to M.M. Robinson High School in North Burlington. Then in 1967, Braves executive Ken Allen spearheaded a campaign to build a state-of-the-art clubhouse and football complex. His energetic leadership inspired the Braves’ executives and boosters, and the end result was Nelson Stadium where the Braves play today. The lighted field is home to the Braves, the Burlington Minor Football Association, and the Nelson High School football teams. In 2008, the Braves 50th Anniversary year, The Braves formed a partnership with the Burlington Minor Football Association.
The Burlington Braves offer a tremendous opportunity for young men to excel in junior football with an opportunity to continue on to the CIS level or the CFL. The lifelong skills and friendships their players develop assist them now, not only on the football field and in the business world, but will in their future endeavors for years to come.
